National Apprenticeship Week – our past Apprentices

In the spirit of National Apprenticeship Week. We caught up with some of our past Apprentices. Five of them are now valued members of the Freestyle IT team.

We what they’ve doing since their apprenticeships?

In the Technical Services Team

James Ackland, completed his IT Helpdesk Apprenticeship, in June 2018.

“I really enjoyed my course. It’s given me really valuable experience and I’m putting everything I learnt into practice, as an IT Engineer. I’m thankful to the team for helping me throughout my course.”

The Technical Services Team also had two more Apprentices Gaspard Melody-Alliot and Tim Wolfe, who have completed their IT Helpdesk Apprenticeships in 2019.

Commercial Director Mike Roberts commented at the time. “We’ve found having apprentices on board a really rewarding. Tim and Gaspard have been no exception. They’ve added real value from being apprentices to fully Digital Marketing Coordinator and IT Engineerqualified team members and we look forward to helping them to develop their skills further.”

In the Marketing Department

We caught up with Paige Byrne. Who completed her Digital Marketing Apprenticeship, at the beginning of 2019. “Since completing my course, I have enjoyed developing my skills further and getting involved in projects. Where I can see my work paying off! Luke and Tim past apprentices Looking back to see how my confidence has grown in my time here, is really rewarding and I hope that continues.”

In the Sales Team

Most recently Luke Goodman, completed his Sales Administration Apprenticeship. Luke has been enjoying taking on more responsibility within the team and learning more new skills to apply to his role. Read more about Luke’s Apprenticeship.

We have always found Apprentices valuable to our company. Which is why over the past three years we have delivered apprenticeships, for five young people, in partnership with local Apprenticeship provider Basingstoke ITEC 

Freestyle IT are very professional and methodical. They keep you informed and are always happy to take the time to explain why technical issues are occurring and recommend the most effective resolutions. Ticketed issues are never signed off until we, the clients, are completely happy with what they have done. They always provide great follow up.
