Some of you will be aware that Freestyle have been Symantec/Veritas Partners for several years now. Following the merger of them both under the Symantec brand in 2006 Symantec have been making changes to their Partner program and reducing the number of partners to a select few who offer particular levels of expertise. It is a delight to announce that Amir Dean who joined the Freestyle team back in July 2007, has now been promoted to Sales Director. As well as managing his accounts he will now be putting into place a new system for the sales team. You may already know the names, Mike Roberts and Glyn Fennelly, and now they have their own small teams which will not only help us, but help you too. Louise has come from a strong customer service background as well as having previous IT industry experience. Freestyle IT, grows again in size and I’m delighted to welcome both Anya Lamb and Russell Edwards to the team. Anya joins Freestyle IT in the role of Sales Support and will be working parallel to Charlotte providing the team with more assistance as the business gets busier and the company rapidly develops. Russell joins the team as a Senior Sales Executive and brings a strong IT background with him, ranging from CRM – Storage and now Virtualisation/consolidation. His roles have predominately been internally based, managing teams of telemarketers or selling direct into large organisations. Freestyle IT offered him a platform to transfer his skill set to an external based position, which will provide him more freedom to manage the full sales process with Freestyle’s new customers.

Amir Dean recently joined the Freestyle team in the role of Senior Sales Executive, and has already proven to to be very successful, meanwhile Carrera Clarke has just completed a Tandem Parachute jump for charity at 12,000 feet.

Monday 13 August 2007 - New Recruits for Freestyle

Carrera Clarke and Charlotte Winn-Morgan joined the Freestyle team in early to mid August.
Carrera joins Freestyle IT in the role of a Marketing Manager and Charlotte as Sales Support.
Welcome to you both.

Carrera comes from a recruitment background with a diploma in Marketing, and is eager to kick the Marketing side off with new and creative ideas. Whilst Charlotte has recently graduated from
Loughborough University, and is keen to start her career in the IT industry.

Both with an outgoing and enthusiastic personality, I'm sure they will exceed in their positions.

Tuesday 10 July 2007 - New staff for Freestyle

We would like to welcome Carl Hayhoe to the Technical Services Team. Carl joins Freestyle in the role of System’s Administrator. He will primarily be involved in our day to day activities for customers on Projects and in our Build Room. Carl’s background is in Servers and Networks and he hopes to soon complete his MCSE and CCNA Qualifications. Carl will also be helping us with the continuing development of our company Website.

Monday 23 April 2007 - Glyn receives award from HP

A member of Freestyle IT’s Sales Support Team has been awarded his first honorary HP Certified Professional Certifications as part of his study towards gaining a Foundation Degree in Computer Sciences with HP Certified Professional.

Glyn Fennelly attends the Thames Valley University on a day release basis as part of his career development plan with Freestyle IT and is over half way through this 3 year course.

Glyn’s certifications so far have included Imaging and Printing, Commercial Solutions and ProCurve Networking.

Freestyle IT have been acknowledged by one of Sun Microsystems major distributors for contributing towards their success over the last quarter.

“Access Division also experienced great growth, with server revenues up 27% Q2 07 (October-December, year-on-year) and mid-range storage revenues grew by 112% during the same time period. Monday 22 January 2007 - FIT's Technical Services Department Expands

FIT are pleased to welcome Lawrence Soremi into our Technical Service Department.

Lawrence joins our Technical Services department in the role of Product Specialist. With a considerable amount of time spent within Banking, Lawrence’s extensive skillset covers Microsoft, Cisco, HP-UX, HP Openview, Novell and IBM/Lotus.

As an MCSE, MCDBA, CCNA, HPCSA and ITIL Certified Professional, within Freestyle Lawrence will be taking the lead with IBM System p, Cisco and general networking. These are new areas for us to specialize in for 2007. In addition Lawrence’s skills will compliment those we already have and help us in attaining the corporate accreditations we are currently working towards.

Monday 8 January 2007 - FIT to become IBM "P Series" accredited reseller

Freestyle IT are delighted to announce that we have started the process to becoming an IBM “P series” accredited reseller.

Working closely with Bell Micro we are hopeful that by the end of February we will have passed all of the relevant Sales and Technical exams which will help us to achieve this very important accreditation.

The IBM “P series” platform is recognized as one of the most powerful and reliable in the Unix market and will fit very prominently in the portfolio of Server solutions that we want to offer our customers.
